The Architectural Features of Your Travel to Spain
History leaves its trails in many unusual manner; it can leave its mark on a nation’s language, arts, and most especially in its architecture. This is why a lot of resources are being spent by governments in protecting old buildings, putting together old structures into a modern landscape, and infusing old styles of architectural designs into recent structures. One of the grounds why a lot of people love to visit Spain is that you can still teach a lot about Spain’s history by checking the well-maintained tourist spots and historical markers.
Setting up a vacation doesn’t just involve having the money to spend for it, although obviously this is a big factor in being able to move around the country. It’s important to know a little bit about the culture itself and what people there would consider to be offensive and respectful; it’s also important to know how to get help when you need it because there’s nothing more uncomfortable than being desserted in a foreign country without knowing who can help you out if you need it. All you have to do is download the lessons and save them to a mobile device like an MP3 player or your phone, and listen to the practice records while you’re working or before you sleep. Rocket Spanish is an excellent tool that can aid you in learning to speak Spanish.
So far, some of the oldest prehistoric architectures that can be found in Spain are in the Balearic Islands, Avila, and Santa Tecla. Spain’s existing historic buildings consist something that dates as far back as the Bronze Age; the structures in the Balearic Islands are probably the best-preserved structures symbolic of that time. Other prehistoric structures like those in the walled villages of Avila show the distinctive Iberian and Celtic influences and also the fact that there was some sort of urban planning already in place during those times because of the grid-like arrangements of houses and streets.
Roman influences can also be seen through the predominantly Roman-looking buildings with features arched columns and details. With the arrival of Roman influences also turned up the modifications in the architectural trends; this was the time when more churches, temples, and cathedrals were built, and also when the burial system was transformed. There was also a production of churches like the temples of Cordova over and above the Talavera la Vieja; as history changes the culture of nations, it leaves its mark everywhere.
As the Roman era came to pass, additional inspirations arrived to the country, paving the way to French and German influences on Spain’s architecture. Then again, things alter and so does the architectural trends in Spain; Roman influence was slowly replaced by Gothic influence. The Cathedral of Avila is the first Gothic building with delicate clues of past Roman influences but with more French and German factors worked in it.
Aside from architecture, there are other things to enjoy in Spain which will also give you a better comprehension of their culture. Going to Spain may very well be one of the crucial moments in your life, especially if you engage yourself in cultural studies while you are there.
